Quick thing about Kirk: We might end up being in a quartet together. How weird/amazingly great/awful is that!?!?!?!??! OK, a violinist from school who I've been budz with (that's IT, just a guy friend) wants to start a quartet. A girl from school who plays cello is joining us (Maggie, awesome person). But now... A quartet needs a viola, a cello, and... 2 violins, not just 1. Uh oh... I asked J.D. about Kirk!! MY FAULT!! Cuz I didn't know how good he was (at the strings camp, J.D. was his stand partner), talented-wise, I mean... not like, Oooh he is so good.... OMG!

Today I woke up, went to church, went to McDonald's, updated my Pirates quiz on Quizilla.com (yay), watched Sarah and Rachel make up their own.. lovely... quiz... (I'll talk to you about this on the phone if you want, but I reFUSE to post it on my website... HAHAHAHAHAHA). I also played SIMS!! I've never played it before and I intend to continue right this minute.
So excuse eh moi whilst I spend my time (or more time) in front of a screen. Ciao!

I hate boyz. They ruin everything. And what they don't ruin they spoil, and what they don't spoil they trample on, and if they don't do any of those, their name must be either Johnny Depp or Jesus Christ.
Last night was my LAST DAY at Benedictine's Master Strings Music Camp... YAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!! Don't get me wrong -- I loved the people there, and I loved the music and the songs and the card games we played, but O MAN was I ready to get out!!
Well, just when I thought that life couldn't be better, an anvil was dropped on me. Yesterday while I was eating lunch (12:30PM-ish) with three peeps from Waubonsie, they told me that Kirk Bond, the hottest guy in the entire camp who happens to be my age and is amazingly talented, is gay. AHHHH! NOT-FAIR! So here I am, thinking, Now what? 2 weeks of complete crush and now WHoOOSH! there it goes. Sigh. But in any case, I still had to deal with the fact that the most good-lookin' guy on campus went for boys. omg.
So last night's concert went along... a little rough. I mean, two weeks of us checking each other out (yes, this was two-sided, which adds to the problem) and all of a sudden... BAM! [anvil clanking on skull noise] So when he sat down in the row in front of me, slightly to my left, and kept turning around to "look behind him at the other violinists" and stared at ME and Melissa (a bassist) instead, I was more than creeped out (he kept pointing out stuff on the program to her, saying things like, "They spelled my name wrong" or "Who's your private teacher?" I automatically assumed that they were just schoolfriends, but Melissa was sending me these, "Um...???" looks, so I asked her, "Do you know him?" And she shook her head with her eyes wide and eyebrows narrowed with an expression that simply said, "Uh... NO!!!" This is when I figured it out. I mean, she was DIRECTLY behind him, and I was only behind and to the RIGHT of him, so he could easily turn, look at me, and then continue to turn to get Melissa's attention. I know this all sounds selfish but that's not how I'm trying to sound here. I'm telling it like it is: It was CREEPY!!!). OK, OK, he is AMAAAAZINGLY good-looking, but he's GAY! ahhhhh.... And so, that part of the evening was a liiiiittle awkward.
After that we had awards (yes, I won like three, OK? Let's all point and laugh at the over-achiever...;-) ). After that we had speeches (AHHH! SOOO BORING! One lady talked for 17 minutes! Trust me, when you're up on stage, that is a LOOONG TIME!!!!). And after that, I went home, changed, showered, brushed hair/teeth, and slept. Ahhhhh.....
So right now I still have to practice piano and viola and pack for my trip. After that I'll prob'ly be hanging with Steph or Jenny if she calls! LOL....

Wow, isn't it funny how life changes soooo fast?
I had the most random awful day today. I moved up to first chair in orchestra and got a solo, and the kid who WAS in first chair is now letting his parents know that he's upset so they'll write to the conductor. I missed a pool party with some 'o' my bestest friends today for the whole orchestra episode. We're out of OldColonial drumsticks and only have teeny Jewel ones left. I have 1 friend in lunch with me, and that ONE friend is Mike Sandercock (yay for Mike but I wish I was with other peeps too!). And finally, the pool was closed so I couldn't cool off after a strenuous 17 hours (1:30 AM going to bed and 6:30 PM now).
However, yesterday and the day before were amAAAzing dayz! On Monday, I got to shop with Caitlin, Becca, and Stephanie, and then choreograph a dance with Becca and Stephanie. On Tuesday (yesterday), I danced with Caitlin, Becca, and Stephanie, and then slept over in a tent with Becca and Stephanie. See a pattern? KT!!! :-( I'll re-teach you the dance soon!

Well something verrrrry exciting happened this morning.
I received an email from the person running the ICanRockDaMic contest. It's an elimination-type thing where applicants send in a voice clip of a song. Then judges and the public vote for who they think rocks da mic the most!! (mic = microphone... just FYI for those of you who are musically challenged! JK!!)
So I applied for judge last nite, and got the acceptance letter this morning! I'm really excited. I hope I can rightfully choose WHO ROCKS DA MIC!

FOR ALL OF YOU!: I'm playing a concert on viola tomorrow nite (Friday) at Saint Procopius Abbey (across from Benedictine) tomorrow at 7:30 PM. I know very well that none of you will come, except maybe Caitlin if she's bored out of her brain, and that's ok cuz you all probly hate classical music or something. But I gotta tell ya..... for once, you'll be missing out. Tomorrow and next Friday (yeah, two concerts) we'll be playing some of the coolest arrangements of songs I've ever played!!! I'm actually LOOKING FORWARD to an orchestra concert. HOW MESSED UP IS THAT?! Ha!!

Wednesday nite... ugh, for some reason I feel sick, yukk.
OK, so this week & next week I'm at Benedictine for a string camp from 9AM to 4PM every weekday. Is this as bad as it sounds? Well... it's a hard call. I have to play with 5th graders who can't count, and walking across the campus while it downpours isn't exactly what we paid for (although that was amazing, it was cold). However, I get to see friends from Central (including Michelle Brian who showed up for a basketball camp!!), eat grilled cheese, fries, and salad every day (mmmm), the boyz are cute (I've scouted out two of them, and wouldn't you know it, today we switched seats so that one is my section leader - and my stand partner! - and the other is our concertmaster!!!!), and on top of it all, we get to play some of the coolest songs I've ever heard: The Idylls of Pegasus, excerpts from Samson and Delilah, and MORE! I love my life.
Also this week (last nite, two nites ago?) I had another GR8 dream with Orlando Bloom... this one got a little more personal... However I don't remember much about it so I'm not going to bother. Let's just say it was a dream I wouldn't mind repeating.
